The three acquisition of an Indian start-up by global technology, underlining the growing innovative-ness of the country’s startup ecosystem. A Bookpad that is founded by three youngsters who p***ed out of IIT-Guwahati three years back. The three Bookpad founders wanted to solve the problem that they faced as students. They used to upload various documents formats to the cloud but they couldn’t edit or interpret them. Book pad’s product Docs Pad allows users to view any docs that could be a word file PowerPoint presentation or a PDF format you can view them easily as well as you can edit them within a website or app. The best thing about this Bookpad is that it works across devices and does not require any extra plug-in or other desktop software to run it nicely. It is believed that yahoo has paid $ 15 million about 90 crores for this yahoo book pad. This tech can be potentially embedded for many of its services. Book pad’s founders include Aditya Bandi, 25, ****th Sabbineni, 24, and Ashwik Battu, 23. Bandi graduated with a degree in design from IIT-Guwahati in 2011 and had brief stints at Microsoft, Cognizant and Symantec. Sabbineni graduated in computer science in 2012 and worked briefly in Amazon. The youngest, Battu, graduated as a chemical engineer just this year. They said “Innovation Pays Off” they added we are very happy with our new discovery. Currently, Bookpad Supports 15 different document formats. Bookpad is a new iPad app that lets you organize and annotate your books with ease. It has a clean interface, supports highlighting and bookmarks, and lets you add notes, photos, and even sketches. You can also share your annotations with friends via Facebook or Twitter.
