I think for search engines there is no rule as to .com or .info. Main factor for search engine ranking is inbound links from authority pages related to theme of your site.Parveen K - Forum Administrator

A brief search on this topic and from personal experience I can say its not a significant factor in the context of SEO. Other factors such as key search terms and people linking to your site with similar relavent terms will be a much more significant factor for SEO. Very commonly you will find peoples website names do not relate at all to the search query they were found under.Comment
