What is the difference between the application model of HTML and HTML5?

The main difference between HTML and HTML5 is that video and audio are not part of HTML while these both are integral parts of HTML5 specifications.

HTML5 is a markup language used for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. It is the fifth and current version of the HTML standard.
