I need help: domain registration service and free web hosting

Hi,
I am having problemas with my web host service. Also, last time I registered a domain, I used Godaddy. This is the most awful service I've ever seen: I had to enter my p***word ELEVEN times once, before the system recognized it. This time, I repeated the procedure at least 20 times - no success. Bottom line: it is plain lousy. I need suggestions about a nice domain registration service. I also need suggestions about free web hosting.
