How to Find What Font is on a Page?

Its really easy to find what type of font is used on a web page or in a document.

Here are some tips to check font styles

Font in a document :In a word processor simply highlight the text and look in the toolbar at the font option. It should display which font is being used in the highlighted text.

Font on a web page: Open a word processing application or text editor and paste the text in a new document. Highlight the text again in the word processing document and look at the font option in the toolbar. It should display the type of font is used for that text.

Via plug-in:Simply download a software a plug-in that can be installed on your Internet browser. These applications are accessible within the Internet browser, as a button or an additional toolbar option.

Via source code: You can easily view the source code by right-clicking, on the web page and selecting the View page source option in the pop-up menu. This displays the programming code used to build the web page. Within this source code, you may be able to find the type of font being used for the text on the web page. However, often times the font type is specified within a CSS file, which may not be available for view..

Thanks for sharing this useful information. You can also used this steps for finding the page font:

Go to on the Web page with the font you like and highlight the first line of text on the page styled with that font. Press Ctrl-C to copy the line of text.

Right-click on the Web page and click the "View Page Source" or "View Source" option in the context menu. The HTML code for the page opens in a dialog box.

Press "Ctrl-F" to open the Find dialog box, click "Ctrl-V" to paste the line of text into the box, then press "Enter" to be taken to the section of code containing information about the font.
