Below are some SEM spamming techniques which should be avoided if you want to retain your website ranking (http://www.submitshop.com) for a long term.

Cloaking: Cloaking is defined as "misrepresenting site content, specifically for the benefit of a search engine spider." Essentially, content seen by the search spider is different than the content seen by humans. A Better Way: Every page on your site should be built to be seen. Focus on creating rich content, and ***ign relevant labels to your images and text.

Mirror Sites or Pages: Mirror pages often depict hijacked content to fool users and search sites into believing someone else’s content is your content. A Better Way: Build pages for people, not search engines. Steer clear of using any other firm’s trademarked terms.

Rapid Fire Submission: Search engines don’t like it when you crawl them, and they hate when you try to hit them with a phalanx of submissions so all those tools which are available for submission to a large number of search engines in one click are of no use. A Better Way:Follow the submission guidelines and make one url submission daily as per the guidline. Also avoid anyone who offers a "tool" for doing so.

Link Farming: Search engines, like Google, often rank sites according to how many links to the site exist. Getting links from link farms where thousands of irrelevant links are given do not help your site rather it puts your site in danger of been banned because these search engines evaluate the quality of these links. A good way of getting links is to go for link building campaign (http://www.submitshop.com/link_popularity/) where you get theme based quality links either from sites which is relevant to your site or from directories in the related categories.
