I run a few different web sites and have mostly just paid for advertising since I am not really up too high on the search engines for any of my key words. Is there somewhere I can read a tutorial or the basics of what I should be doing to get higher on the search engines? Right now I have my meta tags for keywords and description and I got my title and my site content, other then that I dont really know what else to do or where to begin for search engine optimization. Can someone let me know what I can do and give me some pointers to get started? Should I be after the high traffic keywords or try to focus on less searched keywords but get as high as possible on those? Also is there is any services that would do something like this for me and how much would something like that go for?

Welcome to the forum
You can do the following
1. Try to increase Google Page Rank
2. Try to get BL (Bacward Links) from your related sites.

Google has launched the Search Engine today. Earlier It was beta version but Now the search is available to public. The results are great and it will have definite impact of Google and Yahoo.
