How should place link in pages

How should we place link on the pages of a web site. Only for file path or complete path with http and site name. I havnt much idea about this and I am not sure but once my few pages was indexed in search engines that time I changed links with complete path with http and web site name and my all pages was indexed in search engines within 30 days. I dont know it was only a coinsidence or search engines likes complete path and they index the pages soon if they get full path.

The Best idea is to use internal path like ../images/abc.gif If you will use the complete path it will increase the weight the page may result into higher usage of bandwidth. For search engines it does not matter how you link you site with which path method.

Internal paths(like ../) works very good on the working of the pages on home computer for designing and modifying the websites

But if you have a good domain name like "indiaseo" or "linkexchange", then it is considered good that we should give complete paths becasue "linkexchange" is the keyword in itself and can help in "keyword rankings" (like india linkexchange) by combining with other keywords of the page which are used by you
